Equality PAC Statement Recognizing National Coming Out Day

Washington, DC – Today, Equality PAC Co-Chairs Chairman Mark Takano (D-CA) and Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) released the following statement recognizing National Coming Out Day.

“Our LGBTQ community is full of vibrant and loving individuals that make our nation and world a more accepting place,” said Equality PAC Co-Chairs Chairman Mark Takano and Congressman David Cicilline. “On National Coming Out Day, we celebrate the diversity of our community, honor the courage that the process of coming out entails, and we offer a lending hand to those who may need help in learning how to live as their authentic self. Whether you have been out for many years, recently become part of our community, or are going through your own process of coming out, know we will do everything in our power to support you and welcome you with open arms.”  

Equality PAC is the political arm of the Congressional LGBTQ Equality Caucus and is dedicated to the full legal and societal equality for LGBTQ Americans. All funds raised into Equality PAC are spent supporting and electing openly LGBTQ individuals and strong LGBTQ allies to the United States Congress who are committed to passing the Equality ACT and to ensuring full civil rights and protections for all LGBTQ Americans.
