Equality PAC Endorses Tammy Baldwin (WI-Sen.) and Kyrsten Sinema (AZ-09)
Washington, DC – Equality PAC, a political action committee formed by leaders of the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus, today announced the endorsements of the re-election campaigns of Sen. Tammy Baldwin (Wis.) and Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (AZ-09).
“Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema have broken many barriers during their long careers in public service,” said Equality PAC Chair Rep. Mark Takano (D-CA). “Equality PAC looks to both bring in fresh talent to Congress and protect those like Sen. Baldwin and Rep. Sinema who were among the first LGBT members of Congress. We are proud to endorse their re-election campaigns and look forward to continuing the fight for equality with their leadership.”
Senator Baldwin was one of the founding members of the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus when she was a member of the House of Representatives. Rep. Sinema currently serves as a Co-Chair of the LGBT Equality Caucus.
The purpose of Equality PAC is to work to bring nearer the full legal and societal equality of LGBT persons and creating a legislative environment that is conducive to that goal. The Board of Directors is chaired by Rep. Mark Takano (D-CA), who is a Co-Chair of the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus; and board members Representatives Jared Polis (D-CO), David Cicilline (D-RI) and Mark Pocan (D-WI),also Caucus Co-Chairs; Representatives Dan Kildee (D-MI) and Joseph Kennedy, III (D-MA), Vice-Chairs of the Caucus; and Caucus members Representatives Suzan DelBene (D-WA), Elizabeth Esty (D-CT), Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), Derek Kilmer (D-WA), Grace Meng (D-NY), and Gwen Moore (D-WI).
