Equality PAC Endorses Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher for Texas’ 7th Congressional District

Washington, DC – Today, Equality PAC Co-Chairs Chairman Mark Takano (D-CA) and Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) announced the endorsement of Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher for Texas’ 7th Congressional District. Due to redistricting, Congresswoman Fletcher, if re-elected, will now represent Montrose which encompasses much of Houston’s historic LGBTQ community neighborhood.

“Since her start in Congress, Congresswoman Fletcher has been a staunch advocate for the LGBTQ community in Texas and across the nation,” said Equality PAC Co-Chairs Chairman Mark Takano and Congressman David Cicilline. “From fiercely advocating for passage of the Equality Act to standing up against discrimination towards LGBTQ Texans, Congresswoman Fletcher perfectly exemplifies what it means to be an ally. To achieve full equality for all LGBTQ Americans and defend LGBTQ Texans from the attacks led by Greg Abbott and his band of bigots, we need solid and longtime allies like Congresswoman Fletcher in the House. Equality PAC is proud to stand with her as she campaigns for re-election to Congress.”

Equality PAC is the political arm of the Congressional LGBTQ Equality Caucus and is dedicated to the full legal and societal equality for LGBTQ Americans. All funds raised into Equality PAC are spent supporting and electing openly LGBTQ individuals and strong LGBTQ allies to the United States Congress who are committed to passing the Equality ACT and to ensuring full civil rights and protections for all LGBTQ America.
