Equality PAC Celebrates Pride Month 2021

Washington, DC – Today, Equality PAC Co-Chairs Chairman Mark Takano (D-CA) and Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) released the following statement celebrating the start of Pride Month 2021.

“For LGBTQ people around the world, Pride Month is a celebration of love, compassion, acceptance, and so much more,” said Equality PAC Co-Chairs Chairman Mark Takano and Congressman David Cicilline. “Many of our favorite places have begun to reopen, meaning we can use this Pride Month to reconnect and gather with friends and loved ones. As we continue to enjoy the festivities that surround Pride Month, let us reaffirm our commitment to advancing and standing up for the rights for all our community members, especially those in our trans community that have been under constant attack. And to our colleagues in the Senate, Pride Month would be an excellent time to finally pass the Equality Act, sending this critical legislation that protects LGBTQ Americans to President Biden for his signature.”

Equality PAC is the political arm of the Congressional LGBTQ Equality Caucus and is dedicated to the full legal and societal equality for LGBTQ Americans. All funds raised into Equality PAC are spent supporting and electing openly LGBTQ individuals and strong LGBTQ allies to the United States Congress who are committed to passing the Equality Act and to ensuring full civil rights and protections for all LGBTQ Americans.
