Washington, DC – Today, Equality PAC Co-Chairs Chairman Mark Takano (D-CA) and Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) released the following statement celebrating the beginning of LGBTQ History Month.
“Each October, we take a moment to recognize LGBTQ trailblazers past and present that continue to shape our community today,” said Equality PAC Co-Chairs Chairman Mark Takano and Congressman David Cicilline. “Throughout our history, LGBTQ people have been a force to reckon with, constantly fighting for the rights we enjoy today and making advancements in almost every field. This month is a time to celebrate those individuals and their accomplishments while learning about the important work they have done to mold our shared history.”
Equality PAC is the political arm of the Congressional LGBTQ Equality Caucus and is dedicated to the full legal and societal equality for LGBTQ Americans.
