Washington, DC – Today, Equality PAC will host their annual Pride Gala at Union Station’s East Hall, their largest event of the year. During the event, Equality PAC will honor Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi and former Congressman and Equality PAC Co-Chair David Cicilline. Through this gathering, Equality PAC has raised more than $437,000.
“We are excited to host our third ever Pride Gala to highlight the work we have done to advance equality and honor some of the greatest trailblazers within our community,” said Equality PAC Co-Chairs Ranking Member Mark Takano (D-CA) and Congressman Ritchie Torres (D-NY). “Pride is a celebration, but it is also a time to recommit ourselves to doing everything we can to expand LGBTQ rights and defend our community. We come together tonight to reflect on the role we all must play to protect the most vulnerable among us. We want to thank all our supporters and honored guests that have helped us raise this incredible sum for Equality PAC. We look forward to celebrating Pride Month tonight and showcasing the best our community has to offer.
Special guests include political strategist, commentator, and steadfast LGBTQ ally Anna Navarro, Delaware State Senator Sarah McBride, Montana State Representative Zooey Zephyr, and entertainer and activist Clay Aiken.
