Equality PAC Calls on Gov. McCrory to Concede in North Carolina
Washington, DC – Equality PAC, a political action committee formed by leaders of the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus, today called on Governor Pat McCrory in North Carolina to admit his defeat in his re-election campaign.
“By a margin of almost 7500 votes, the will of North Carolinians is clear: they want Roy Cooper to be their next governor,” said Equality PAC Managing Director Roddy Flynn. “Gov. McCrory’s legal challenges to the results have been thrown out by one review board after another. As he grows more and more desperate, his baseless claims about voter fraud become more and more outlandish. Now he is specifically targeting his challenges to African American voters. Enough is enough. The people of North Carolina deserve to have their voices heard. Governor McCrory must admit that he has lost, and concede to Roy Cooper.
